Getting started
Bring the spreadsheet you already have. That is most of it.
No implementation call, no consultant, no six-week rollout. You import what you already keep, set up the parts you need, and start booking.
What setting up actually involves
How long it takes depends on how big your roster is, and anyone who quotes you a number has not asked. What we can tell you is that the size of your team changes exactly one of these steps, and it is the one you hand over as a file.
- 1
Tell it what you call things
Artists or staff or contractors. Events or jobs or shifts. You pick your own words at signup, and the whole app uses them from then on. Two clicks, or type your own.
- 2
Set up your services
The things you get booked for. Matching works off these, so they come before anything else — it is the one part worth five minutes of thought.
- 3
Import the spreadsheet you already keep
Upload the file and match your columns to Logidex's once. Names, contact details, skills and rates come across together, and your roster exists.
This is the part that would otherwise be days of typing, and it is the same amount of work whether you have six people or two hundred.
- 4
Invite people when you are ready for them
Anyone you invite keeps their own availability and travel preferences current, so you stop chasing it. There is nothing for them to download and no app store to visit.
- 5
Start booking
Matching shows you who is genuinely free, who has the right skill, and who can actually get across town in time.
And you can watch someone do it first
Short walkthroughs for each part of setup, so you are never reading a manual to work out what a screen wants from you. Watch the one you need, when you need it.
It fits around what you already do
Logidex is meant to sit beside your email and your calendar, not replace them.
- A booking form on your own link, so clients send you work without emailing you
- Push a booked event to Google Calendar and invite whoever is working it
- Square, for syncing your customers
- Export your roster, your events and your pay report to a spreadsheet whenever you want
Staffing is complicated. Using this should not be.
Travel time, hour limits, who will work which area and for what rate — all of that is genuinely complex, and it is the reason it lives in your head today. The work went into making it something you can hand to someone else.
- Guided tours built into the screens themselves, so help is where the work is
- Rename anything that does not sound like your business
- Install it like an app on your phone, with nothing to download
- Nothing saves until you commit it, so you can try the awkward version first
So the person staffing Saturday does not have to be you.
